SMPD searching for suspects in firearm incident

The San Marcos Police Department is searching for suspects involved in a firearm incident at Copper Beech Townhomes — 1701 Mill St. — on Monday night.

Police say two vehicles were “shooting at each other” at the apartment complex at approximately 8:40 p.m. SMPD said the two vehicles may have struck each other and a suspect stepped out of one vehicle and fired a weapon. Both vehicles sped off and one crashed into an unattended vehicle in the parking lot, officials said.

No involved parties have been identified and descriptors are “very limited,” SMPD said.
