Terrorist threat at Prairie Lea

Tuesday at approximately 11:04 AM the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Prairie Lea Independent School District regarding a terroristic threat made against a student at the school and the school itself. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office was advised that the suspect’s name was David Baros, 18.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Luling Police Department for assistance with locating the suspect whose last known address was in the city limits of Luling. The suspect was later located in the city limits of Luling by law enforcement officers from both agencies. The suspect was taken into custody without incident to any students or involvement at the school campus. As a precaution the Prairie Lea School Campus was placed into lock down until it was confirmed that the suspect was in custody.

The suspect is currently being held in the Caldwell County
