TRACE cuts ribbon with Chamber Ambassadors

What was a cattle ranch just a few years ago has become San Marcos’ newest housing project, located at Posey Road and Interstate 35. The Chamber of Commerce ambassadors recently visited the property for a ribbon cutting (above) preceded by speakers including Chamber President Jason Mock (right). TRACE will have 1,007 homes, several apartment complexes, commercial and business park, 5 miles of trails and a 7-acre park. There will also be a fire station and an elementary school with a ground breaking in 2019. Builders include Buffington Homes and Pacesetter Homes. Daily Record photo by Lisa Tanksley
