Tree lighting, market still on for Martindale despite rainy forecast

Despite a rainy forecast, the town of Martindale is hosting its Tree Lighting and Christmas Market tonight from 5 to 8 p.m.

Santa Claus is expected to make an appearance on a fire truck, and there will also be caroling, decorating, vendors and refreshments. 

A gift market will feature local artisan items and local children will be able to bring home a book for free, courtesy of the Martindale Community Library.

Participants will also be asked to bring ornaments to add to the town’s Christmas tree.
