Six Texas State students — Joshua Napier, Connor McDonald, Rayne Jones, Jack Walker, Collin Berzsenyi and  Emily Jaks — represented The Center for Professional Sales from the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University at the 8th Annual International Collegiate Sales Competition held November 6-10, 2019 in Orlando, Florida.  Hosted by Florida State University, a member of the University Sales Center Alliance, the mission of the competition was to develop critical skills needed by today’s sales graduates and foster best practices among sales organizations worldwide.

The sponsors for the competition were ReliaQuest for the Role Play Competition, Gartner for the Warm Call Competition, Citrix for the Sales Management Competition and Tom James Professional Clothiers for the Speed Selling Competition. There were over 80 universities competing in the four competitions.

Garnering a top 10 finish in the Speed Selling Competition out of 160 plus competitors were Collin Berzseny and Emily Jaks. Quarterfinalist for the Sales Role Play team were Joshua Napier and Connor McDonald.   The Sales Management team of Rayne Jones and Jack Walker advanced to the 1st round from a qualification round which eliminated 2/3 of the competition.

The coach of the Role Play and Speed Selling team, Mr. Wayne Noll and the coach for the Sales Management team, Dr. Aditya Gupta stated, “Our students have a tremendous work ethic, great attitude and are very competitive.  McDonald and Napier had this to say about their experience.  “The opportunity to be a part of a selling team from the McCoy College of Business is truly an honor.  Being able to continue the tradition of performing at the highest level is extremely inspirational. I am so thankful for the support of the Center for Professional Sales.” Berzsenyi, Jaks, Jones and Walker also added, “The opportunities for our future employment have been greatly enhanced by this unforgettable experience.  We are so grateful.”
