She is a survivor of Hurricane Harvey in Houston,after which she was able to secure a position at Gary. Melissa Valdez, CTT Construction & Manufacturing Manager, said Garner “is a positive role model who coaches others to do their best. Every trainee in the welding trade knows Ms. Garner because she develops relationships, and trainees trust and respect her.
