Court to discuss need for pretrial case management software, election security

Hays County Commissioners Court is set to meet today at 9 a.m. On the agenda for the regularly scheduled meeting is the possible purchase of case management software for pretrial services, additional funds for RM 12 safety improvements, the purchase of security cameras for the IT and elections department and a Hays County Historical Commission appointment.

Aug. 1 was declared John Navarrette Day in the city of San Marcos, by virtue of a proclamation approved by the city council. Day proclaimed for local self-made man, philanthropist

Recognizing one of the city's most dedicated residents, in a ceremony at city hall, last week, Aug. 1 was proclaimed “John Navarrette Day” by San Marcos Mayor Jane Hughson.

Devyn Collie Reiley is pictured in these two images from her starring role in Jane Eyre, The Musical, at EmilyAnn Theatre and Gardens in 2019. Reiley, an accomplished certified private pilot, was at the helm of a single engine WWII-era T-6 Texan Warbird aircraft in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, when it crashed into Lake Winnebago on July 29, according to U.S. Coast Guard officials. She was 30, the oldest of 13 siblings. She is survived by her husband, Hunter. Her parents are two-time Super Bowl winner and former San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman Bruce Collie and his wife, Holly.
