KZSM — A San Marcos voice heard worldwide

San Marcos native Priscilla Delgado now presents the “Spotlight on Elvis” feature on “The Mop Tops and the King,” independent, weekly, one hour radio show featuring the music of The Beatles and Elvis Presley that plays on 85 community radio stations worldwide, including dozens throughout the U.S. and the UK, and other as far away as Australia, Belgium, the Philippines, and South Africa. Here in San Marcos, the show runs 9-10 p.m. Mondays. Priscilla is featured on this Monday’s show and every other Monday after that.

US panel backs COVID-19 boosters only for seniors, high-risk

WASHINGTON (AP) — Dealing the White House a stinging setback, a government advisory panel overwhelmingly rejected a plan Friday to give Pfizer COVID-19 booster shots across the board, and instead endorsed the extra vaccine dose only for those who are 65 or older or run a high risk of severe disease.

Rotary District Governor to visit San Marcos at upcoming meeting

Rotary District 5840 Governor Kristy Vandenburg visits the Rotary Club of San Marcos on Sept. 22. She will meet with club board members at 11:15 a.m. and then speak to the entire club after lunch. The club meets at noon on Wednesdays at the Holiday Inn — Convention Center, 105 Bintu Drive, San Marcos.

20-year-old killed in sleep, SMPD investigating shooting at apartment complex
