Animal Shelter reaches holiday adoption goal

The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter surpassed its December goal of 120 new adoptions with 131 pets being placed in their forever homes during its Holiday Adoption Special. According to the City of San Marcos, these were pets at the shelter or in foster care who were already spayed or neutered and could go home to their new family the same day.

The Hays County Food Bank recently received donations during the holiday season. Left, the American Veterans Post TX-104 recently gave a holiday donation of $500 to help fight hunger in Hays County. Lalo Rodriguez presented Jessica Cruz, Hays County Food Bank programs manager, with the check, alongside Commander Steve Saxon, member David Franklin and his wife Karen, and A-Team member Rose Marie. We also talked to health care professionals, educators, business owners, clergy, and you and your neighbors.
