Daily Record kicks off advertising grant program

San Marcos Lions Club makes donation to support SMPD

The San Marcos Lions Club presented the San Marcos Police Department with a check for $10,000 on Monday. Lion President Mike Jones presented Interim Police Chief Bob Klett with a check to support the SMPD in the wake of officer Paul Beller's injury and the April 18 shooting that claimed the life of officer Justin Putnam and wounded officers Franco Stewart and Justin Mueller.
