Governor shuts down bars, announces additional measures to stop COVID-19 spread

Gov. Greg Abbott reversed course Friday by scaling back restaurant capacity and shutting down bars throughout Texas for the second time amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Governor pauses phased reopening as state’s coronavirus spike continues

Gov. Greg Abbott took multiple steps Thursday to free up hospital capacity across Texas and slow the spread of COVID-19 as the state continues to see a spike in cases.
