Local artists reimagine downtown alley for Christmas

Local graffiti artist David Viejo Perez started working on a new installation in late November for Imagination Alley in downtown. This holiday season, images and characters from the beloved stop-motion movie classic "The Nightmare Before Christmas"will adorn the walls of the alley that sits between Stinky Dawg and CCI Computer Services. The mural is set to be finished on Dec. 15, in time for the San Marcos Main Street Program's annual Wine & Wassail Walk.

Zero, Jack Skellington's ghost dog from "The Nightmare Before Christmas," also has a spot in the mural.

A small sign in the mural, below Zero's dog house, serves as a tag for the facebook group 78666 walls that the graffiti artists use to promote their works around town.

Local artists will be set up in Imagination Alley selling their works on Dec. 15 for the Wine & Wassail Walk.
