As through a hallway of dreams, the new Walkers’ Gallery exhibit, “Mystery, Magic, Metaphor, Myth” leads viewers into the new year posing many more visual questions than answers. Fantasies, abstractions and intricate juxtapositions hang side by side with seemingly straightforward images from nature.

The theme evoked a generous response from many regular exhibitors and inspired an unusually large number of entries from new artists as well. A wide range of media adds to the intrigue of the exhibit with numerous assemblages, dioramas, ceramics and fiber entries complementing the standard two-dimensional media.
