Teodoro E. Reyes Sr.

December 27, 1930 - February 3, 2018

Teodoro E. Reyes Sr. (Ted), a resident of Martindale, Texas, went to be with the lord peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday Feb. 3,2018 at the age of 87.  He was born on Dec. 27, 1930 in Fentress to Marcelino and Amalia (Espinoza) Reyes.  Ted was known for his love of playing pool and participating in tournaments as well as spending time with his family and tending to his many animals. You never saw him without his cowboy hat and boots and he was well known as a sharp dressed man.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Marcelino and Amelia Reyes his sons, Danny and Joey Peralez; sisters, Jesusa Reyes, Aurora Reyes and Maria Perez; his brothers, Tomas Reyes, and Roberto Reyes.

 Ted will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Susie Reyes;  daughters Sylvia Harley and husband Lewis of Katy, Nancy Coleman and husband Bobby of Austin, Patty Rico and husband Roberto of Martindale, Kellie R. Hardge of Martindale, Sandra Reyes of Dale and Jocelyn Reyes and Jay Galvan of Martindale; his sons Teddy Reyes and wife Missy of Elgin, Michael Reyes and wife Linda of Martindale, Richard Reyes and  wife Lisa of New Braunfels; sisters Paula Reyes of Martindale and Antonia Hernandez of Lockhart; his brother Angel Reyes and wife Fermina of Martindale and brother-inlaw, Manuel Aguilar. He was also blessed with 29 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m.  at the Los Angeles Funeral Home Chapel, 300 Cheatham St. San Marcos, TX.Morning visitation will be at 8:30 a.m.  on Thursday, Feb. 8  at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 310 Lockhart St., Martindale, TX. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Rev. Father Rafael Padilla will officiate. Interment will follow in San Juan Cemetery in Reedville, TX.

Serving as pallbearers are Teddy Reyes, Richard Reyes, Roberto Rico, Joel Peralez Rocha, Ismael Reyes and Victor Zavala Jr.

 His family would like to acknowledge the loving care provided to Ted by nurses, Erica Hurtado, Robin Porter, John Kipplinger and special thanks to Steven Villarreal for providing meals and would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to San Marcos Rehab Center for all their TLC.
