Downtown Association introduces new board

The Downtown Association (DTA) of San Marcos is hosting their second meeting of the year to introduce the recently elected executive board and welcome potential members or other interested parties on Feb. 26.

A social gathering at the new Gumby’s Pizza location will kickoff the year as members of the board unveil the organization’s new website and discuss 2018 Membership Benefits. The February Meeting will be held at 312 West Hopkins Street from 6 - 7:30 p.m. with attendance open to the public. The event will feature some of the classic nibbles for which Gumby’s is known, with opportunities to tour the new location.

The Downtown Association was founded in 1978 and is celebrating their 40th Anniversary this year through reinvigorated efforts focused on strengthening the city center. A newly defined boundary, tiered membership options, various advocacy opportunities and the coordination of a monthly event are just a few of the topics Downtown Association will be discussing at their upcoming meeting.
