Eleanor Faye Williams

Eleanor Faye Williams

Sunday, September 9, 2018

Eleanor Faye Williams “Ellie” of San Marcos Texas passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at the age of 77.

Eleanor was a member of First United Methodist Church - San Marcos. She loved her Canyon Lake Group, especially the many trips, camping, canoeing and crawfish boils.

Her long and cherished career as a Surgical R.N. took her many places including a mission trip to Nicaragua. She worked in the OR at McKenna Memorial Hospital, New Braunfels, when she retired. She truly loved her work and missed the many friends she made over the years.

Eleanor was born to the late Kenneth F. Wiley and

Charlotte A. (Perry) Wiley on Dec. 12, 1940 in Oakland, California. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth J. Wiley (Dora); daughter Wendy L. Williams (Anne); sons, Andrew J. Williams, Whitney A. Williams (Norma) and Woodrow A. Williams, Jr. (Jo); three grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and Karen Little, who has been Eleanor’s dear and abiding friend, and caregiver – there are no words to encompass Karen’s selfless and honorable commitment to Mom over the years.

It is with heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Brookdale North, Claire Bridge and Brookdale Hospice for their kindness and compassion in caring for Eleanor.

This is thy hour O Soul, thy free flight

into the wordless,

Away from books, away from art, the day

erased, the lesson done,

Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing,

pondering the themes thou lovest best,

Night, sleep, death and the stars.

So long Ellie, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma….we will dearly miss you.
