Charles R. Tarlton

Charles R. Tarlton passed away on July 8, 2021, at the age of 74. He was born to Roswell and Ellie Neubauer Tarlton in San Antonio, Texas on December 14, 1946.

He was a truck driver for 40 years and put in over 4 million miles. He was the GOAT (greatest of all time) in trucking. He loved fishing and spending time with family. He was very caring and compassionate, always concerned with others more than himself. He never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Alvin and Alice Thomas, brother-in-law Gary Thomas, and sisters-in-law Sharon Heickman and Dorothy Henry.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alice Thomas Tarlton, son Randall Tarlton and wife Lisa, daughter Rosalyn Marie Tarlton, brother James Tarlton and wife Elaine; grandchildren, Cody, Breana, Damian, Christopher, Alexis, Jacob, Kevin and Haydin; great-grandson Andrew; and in-laws Calvin and Elaine Thomas, Russel and Lois Thomas, Kenneth and Sandy Thomas, Greg Thomas, Teresa and Bill Helt, Kenneth and Betty Plane, and Dinah Thomas.

The family would like to give special thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful care given to Mr. Tarlton.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 11th, 5-7 p.m. and Funeral Service Monday, July 12th, 2 p.m., both at Pennington Funeral Home. Burial will follow at San Marcos City Cemetery.
