Clifford Osburn Vetters

Clifford Osburn Vetters passed peacefully into the Lord’s arms to join that happy hunting ground in heaven on Aug. 19, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born June 15, 1937 in Corpus Christi, TX to Herman and Lillian Skidmore Vetters.

The family moved to Wimberley when he was nine years old and he lived in the San Marcos area the rest of his life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. In his earlier years he loved drag racing and any other car racing. He also loved traveling all over the world.

He graduated from SMHS in 1955, was in the Naval Reserve and worked at Wide-Lite Corp. for 35 years. He married his wife of 53 years, Linda Brown, on July 24, 1965, and they were blessed with two sons who graduated from Texas A&M of which he was immensely pleased.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda, son Greg Vetters and wife Sunny of Peachtree City, GA, son Jason Vetters and wife Sue of Atlanta, GA, grandson Daniel Vetters, granddaughters Gabby Vetters and Asha Vetters, and sister Janette Buchanan of New Braunfels.

He most loved his family and his friends. Services were Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018 at First Christian Church in San Marcos.
