Born in Grand Rapids Sept. 10, 1924 to Itasca homestead pioneers James K. and Esther (Hermanson) Knight of Effie, MN. He was prepared for life in an atmosphere of common sense wisdom. He began his schooling in rural Zaiser School and graduated from Bigfork HS.

He was sincere in his faith, staunch in his politics, and proud of his family.

He was a longtime faithful member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in San Marcos, TX.

Preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Dr. Jere D. Knight (Scientist, Los Alamos, NM) and James T. Knight (KIA, Italy, 1945).
