Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Holmes Turley

Cynthia “Cindy” Holmes Turley of Austin, Texas, beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at the age of 67. The daughter of Everett and Martha Nell (Ellison) Holmes, she was born on Nov. 11, 1951.

Cindy graduated from San Marcos High School, Class of 1969 where she was head cheerleader. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from SWT, specializing in Home Economics and Child Development. She loved decorating, shopping and musc. She was a very sociable person, loved people and was always very fashionable. After being diagnosed with MS in 1979 and often in pain, one would never know it, because she always hid her pain behind her beautiful smile.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard Earl Turley, Jr. and granddaughter, Brynn Ashtyn Aylor.  She is survived by her son, Thomas Everett Aylor and wife, Chrissy of Austin; brothers, Michael Holmes and wife, Shelley of Martindale, and Robert Holmes of New Braunfels; and three grandchildren, Dain, Knox and Noah Aylor.

Family will receive friends at Pennington Funeral Home, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018.  Cindy’s life will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018 in the Pennington Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Martindale Cemetery in Martindale.
