Dalinda Munoz

Our Heavenly Father called Dalinda Munoz home on July 19, 2019, after a brief illness.   She was born in San Marcos, Texas on July 25, 1956.

Dalinda Munoz was preceded in death by her parents Francisca (Ramirez) and Laurencio H. Munoz, brothers Laurence and Iraquel Munoz.  She is survived by sister Ana Maria (Robert) Puente of San Marcos, Texas, brother Israel (Joann) of Bainbridge Island, Washington, brother Johnny Salinas of San Marcos, Texas and sister-in-law Joyce Munoz of San Marcos, Texas.   In addition, Dalinda is survived by nieces and nephews Marissa (John) McGlothlin of San Marcos, Texas, Robert (Jessica) Puente of Martindale, Texas, Betsy (Steven) Cantu of San Marcos, Texas, Aaron Munoz of San Marcos, Texas and Caleigh Munoz of Bainbridge Island, Washington.   She also had grand nieces and nephews, Owen, Roni, Connor and Reese McGlothlin, Isabella Puente, Evan, McKenna, Harley and Hawk Cantu and Mason Munoz.   Dalinda is also survived by her aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Dalinda graduated from San Marcos High School and from Texas State University with a Master’s.  Dalinda taught for 39 years.  She loved the children whose lives she touched as well as the faculty and staff of Crockett.   She was recognized for her excellence in teaching by being named Crockett’s “Teacher of the Year”.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dalinda’s memory may be made to an Elementary School in San Marcos, Texas or to a charity of your choice. 

Services will be held as follows:   Visitation at Pennington’s Funeral Home will be Wednesday, July 24th beginning at 6:00 pm with a rosary beginning at 7:00pm and Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday, July 25th at 10am.   Interment will follow at San Marcos City Cemetery.  Arrangements under the direction of Pennington’s Funeral Home, San Marcos, Texas, 512-353-4311.
