Eddie Jacinto-Cantu

Eddie Jacinto-Cantu, 64, of San Marcos, TX passed away on Oct. 17, 2017. He was born Oct. 8, 1953 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, to Hilario Jacinto-Serrano and Amalia Elva Cantu-Chapa.

A member of Redwood Baptist Church, Eddie volunteered at Good News Club at C.M. Allen, the Austin Soup Kitchen, distributing the “Miracle Prayer-Salvation Tract,” and he especially loved serving the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tina Theresa Jacinto; three sons, Vincent and Jonathan Reyes and Alex Barrera; four daughters, Natalie Jacinto, Carolyn Trevino, Iris Barrera and Rebekah Reyes; brothers, Ernesto Jacinto and wife, Dinora, and Roberto Ochoa; sisters, Sandra J. Nace and husband, Richard, and Rosie Olivo; grandchildren, Daniel and Alexander Reyes, Shayla, Kasandra, and Brianna Marroquin, Kaylee and Isabella Reyes, Sabrina and Elijah Barrera, Brooklyn Horan and Chasity Trevino, Larry, Jr., Nathan and Elijah Cantu; and great-grandchildren, Atticus Aranda and Noah Cantu. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Albert and wife, Mary Medellin, and their children, Alberto, Jr., Nikki, and Gaby Medellin; Clemente Medellin, III and wife, Lydia Serna and their children, Manuel Garza, Rebecca Garza and her children, Ben and wife, Francésca Garza and their children; Jordan Olivo, Kevin Nace; Ediberto and wife, Dinora Flores, Ernesto, Jr. and wife, Marissa Jacinto, and Debnahi Jacinto; great-nieces and nephews, Ediberto, II and Ameli Flores; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gisela Jacinto.

Family will receive friends to celebrate Eddie’s life, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, in the Pennington Memorial Chapel in San Marcos.
