Fern Shepherd Hamilton

Fern (Shepherd) Hamilton, 90, of San Marcos, Texas died Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the Advent Health Care Center, San Marcos, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in San Marcos. She was born November 13, 1929, in Bluffton, Indiana to True W. and Ida Sink Shepherd. She married Harold Dunlap, who died October 29, 1983. Later, she married Fred Hamilton on December 24, 1987, who passed away January, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her sister Alice (Shepherd) Klein.

Fern retired from the NIPSCO in Bluffton in 1988 after 37 years of service. After wintering in Texas for several years in her retirement, she and Fred moved to Texas in 1995.

She is survived by 3 step-children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Fern’s wish was to be cremated, and a family memorial service will be held at a later date.
