Guadalupe Gauna

Guadalupe Gauna, beloved, husband, father and grandfather was called home by our Heavenly Father on Jan. 1, 2019 at the age of 91.

Guadalupe was born on April 8, 1927 in San Marcos, TX to Federico and Josefa Gauna. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Gauna, and sister, Mary Hale.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Beatrice Gauna. Son, David Gauna and wife Cathy, daughter Alicia Campos and husband Mario. Grandchildren Brianna, Matthew and Marisa Campos and Joseph Stanley. Sisters, Margie Alvarado, Alice Rubio and Virginia Gonzales (Juvenal) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Guadalupe will always be remembered as a kind, caring, loving man. He would share his wisdom with those around him and was always willing to help those in need, especially his family in any way he could. He will always be “Pampo” to his grandchildren. We will greatly miss him and will forever cherish all the loving memories.

Visitation will be at Thomason Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 from 2 until 9 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Memory Lawn in Martindale, TX.

Serving as Pallbearers will be David Gauna, Mario Campos, Matthew Campos, David Montana, Richard Ruiz and Robert Silva.

The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for him. Austin Heart of San Marcos, WellMed, Central Texas Medical Center and CTMC Hospice.
