Iris Velasquez

Iris Velasquez, born on January 20, 1988 in McAllen, Texas to Elias and Beatrice Velasquez, passed away on January 22, 2020 in New Braunfels, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Elias Velasquez. She is survived by her mother, Beatrice "Betty" Wiginton (Don) of New Braunfels; siblings: Roy Garcia, Jr., Eleazar Velasquez, Elias Velasquez, and Annie Marie Hoerner. She is also survived by one niece and four boys she raised: Keandre Richardson, Aiden Richardson, Keith Alvarez and Dez Zamora.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Virgil Wilson Mortuary in Mission. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at El Divino Redentor Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
