James Leonard Mathis

James Leonard Mathis passed away suddenly on Nov. 27, 2018, in San Marcos, Texas at the age of 37.

He had many nicknames to include Jim-Bob, Buddha and in recent years just “Bob.” He is preceded in death by his father, James Lewis Mathis, and is survived by a wealth of dear family Including: his mother, Belinda Sue Mathis and four siblings, Joseph Jalufka, Lisa Sine, Sarah Mathis and Matthew Mathis. He was the proud uncle of Tyler Mathis, Garret Sine, Emma Roark, Jaxson Sine, Aubree Mathis and Gunnar Mathis. He is remembered by various aunts, uncles and cousins and made countless friends along the way including his significant other Kyla Boyles, best buddy James Loving and Uncle Delbert.

He was highly skilled at working with his hands and held various positions in mechanics, concrete, construction and dispatching. Bob enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved the outdoors, was a selfproclaimed grill-master and no matter what, he would “rather be fishing.” He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.

A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, Dec.10, 2018, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Legends Funeral Home, 107 Center Point Road, San Marcos, Texas.

All are welcome to attend this celebration of Bob’s life.
