Jim Ray “Jimmie” Hubbard
Jim Ray “Jimmie” Hubbard passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the St. David’s Hospital in Austin, Texas. He was born to Mack and Elizabeth Hubbard on September 23, 1957 in San Marcos, Texas.
Jimmie lived his entire life in San Marcos, Texas. His vocation and favorite pastime was working on cars. He loved showing off his, “souped up,” cars to his friends and family. Jimmie was a quiet spirit, loved by all who knew him and anyone who visited.
Jim was the symbol of quiet strength and fortitude. He was ill most of his life and underwent kidney dialysis for more than twenty-four years.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Elizabeth Hubbard and his oldest sister, Susan Hubbard Jones.
Survivors include his loving sister and caretaker, Maxine Hubbard; niece, Faye Morgan (Edward); grandnephew, Brandon Morgan; grandniece, Raven Morgan-Hoch (Travis); and great-nephews, Miles and Tyrion Hoch; as well as a multitude of cousins and friends.
The Visitation will be held at the Thomason Funeral Home (2001 Old Ranch Road 12, San Marcos, TX 78666) on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Thomason Funeral Home on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 10 a.m. The Interment will follow at the Kelley Cemetery on Plant Road in Prairie Lea, Texas.
