Maria Gallegos
Our beloved Maria Gallegos, age 85, resident of San Marcos was called by our Heavenly Father on Friday, December 27, 2019.
Maria was preceded in death by her loving parents, Antonio & Maria Isabel Torres; brothers, Juan Torres and Amador Torres.
Maria was a loving mother, and a loving grandmother. She was married to Pascual for 61 years and they had 2 children, Daniel and Elvira. She helped raise her grandchildren and they loved her very much. She came from a loving family of 13. She liked to sew and embroider and make Rosary’s for the church. She was born in San Marcos, Texas and grew up in Hunter, Texas. She will always be in our hearts and be missed so very much.
She is survived by her husband of 61yrs., Pascual Gallegos; daughter, Elvira Crabb & Ernesto Sotelo; son, Daniel Gallegos & Melissa; brothers, Toribio Torres, Victor Antonio Torres, Jose Roberto Torres, David Torres and Charles Torres; sisters, Esperanza Weidman, Josie Amaro, Matilda Gil, Linda Villarreal, and Isabel Mercado; grandchildren, Crystal Crabb, Ileana Gallegos, & Juan Gallegos; and with other loving family and friends.
Visitation will begin 4 - 9 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2020 with Recitation of Holy Rosary held at 7 p.m., at the Los Angeles Funeral Home, 300 Cheatham St., San Marcos, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 624 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas. Rev. Father Jairo Lopez will officiate. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in San Marcos, Texas. Serving as Pall Bearers: Tom Villarreal, David Torres, Charles Torres, Joe Torres, Gabriel Gil, and Ernest Sotelo.
