Pedro ‘Pete’ Villanueva

Pedro “Pete” Villanueva, 53, of Martindale, TX passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, March 11, 2019.  Pete was born in Del Rio, TX on Aug. 27, 1965 to Refugio Villanueva, Sr. and Hortencia Cervantes Villanueva.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  

Pete worked for HEB in San Marcos for over 31 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Elizabeth “Lisa” Villanueva; his children, Pete A. Villanueva, Lunna Y. Villanueva and Sebastian I. Villanueva; sister, Lydia Cardenas and her husband, Joe of Kyle, TX; sister, Maria Ybarra and her husband, Stan of Buda, TX; sister, Hortencia Almaraz and her husband, Gabriel of Dallas, TX; brother, Octaviano Villanueva of Buda, TX; brother, Joel Villanueva and his wife, Imelda of Austin, TX; brother, Julio Villanueva of North Carolina; brother, Refugio Villanueva, Jr. and his wife, Irma of San Marcos, TX; and sister, Nancy Villanueva of Kyle, TX.  

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 15, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos, TX.  The funeral service will begin at 6 p.m.  Inurnment will be at Memory Lawn Memorial Park, Martindale, TX at a later date.
