Robert Lee Bounds, Jr.

Robert Lee Bounds, Jr. passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021, at 79 years old, surrounded by family. He was born April 4, 1941, in Rockdale, Texas to Robert Lee Bounds, Sr. and Ruby Armstrong Bounds Haldas.

Bob worked as a barber while in school; following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father and uncles. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Southwest Texas State College in 1965 and had a long and successful career with Texas Parks and Wild life, Fisheries Department. Shortly after retiring in 1988, he opened R & R Liquor Store with his brotherin-law, Ron Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Judy Ann Walker Bounds.

He is survived by his children Deborah Ann Bounds Dossey (Mike) and Robert Brent Bounds (Mary); grandchildren Rebecca Dossey Curd (Perry) and Catherine Dossey; great-grandchild Isaac Wood (Curd); his sister Peggy Bounds Minnich (Jerry); and sister-in-law Terry Collins (Ron); and several endeared nieces, nephews, many close friends and his cherished dog, Charlie.
