Shalonda "Deannie" Kindred
Shalonda “Deannie” Kindred was born on March 27, 1975, in Austin, Texas, to Nathaniel and Barbara Kindred (Williams - Walker).
Shalonda attended school in Georgia prior to moving to Texas. She attended San Marcos High School and graduated in 1993. She was a member of the SMHS choir. At her graduation, she was encouraged to sing the class’s graduation song, “I Will Always Love You,” during the graduation ceremony. Shalonda was well liked among her peers.
Her love for singing started when she was a member of the youth choir at Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church. As a teenager, Shalonda accepted Christ at Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church under Rev. Patricia Spearman. She was a member of the church drill team, choir and Jr. Usher.
On November 5, 1998, Shalonda gave birth to her son, D’Sean Neal.
After spending many years in Texas, Shalonda relocated to Newport News, Virginia, in 2005, where she worked in the Customer Service Industry.
Shalonda was preceded in death by: Maternal Grandparents, Willie and Velma Simpson, and Paternal Grandfather, Nathaniel Kindred, Sr.
Shalonda leaves to cherish her memory: her Son, D’Sean Neal, San Marcos, TX, Mother, Barbara Williams Walker, Dallas, TX, Father, Nathaniel Kindred (Linda), San Marcos, TX, Sister’s Shalice Kindred, Dallas, TX, Sophia Joseph (Kyle), San Marcos, TX, Billie Mallett (Joseph), Cibolo, TX, Bonnie Moss-Byas (Ananda), Austin, TX, Belinda Byas, San Marcos, TX, Brother, Sean Williams, Dallas, TX, Paternal Grandmother, Lillie Mae Kindred, Austin, TX. Shalonda also leaves to cherish her memory many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends throughout Texas, and Newport News, Virginia.
Services will be held Saturday June 22, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.
