Tomasa Martinez

Our beloved mother Tomasa Martinez, 91, of Kyle, Texas, passed away peacefully with her granddaughter Jessica Luna by her side on Thursday, January 7, 2021. She was born on March 7, 1929 in Fentress, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband Pablo N. Martinez, sons Mariano Martinez and Paul Martinez, and daughter Maria Natal.

She is survived by her great grandson, who she raised, Robert Trejo, and brother Macario Zapata. Other survivors include her three daughters Maggie Luna and husband Adam, Flo Martinez and Irving Dobson, and Louisa Gonzales and husband Anthony, and her two sons Raul Martinez and wife Lupe and Thomas Martinez and wife Mary. She leaves behind a legacy of 33 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos and will include a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be on Friday, January 15 at 11 a.m. at the San Juan Cemetery in Prairie Lea, Texas.
