Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor,

It goes without saying that this academic year has been a doozy. Every parent of an SMCISD student knows that, as does every teacher. As both parents and teachers ourselves, we have been grateful to have Anne Halsey on the school board, looking out for us and for our children. Hurdle after hurdle, obstacle after obstacle, Anne has helped SMCISD navigate the best route forward for students, teachers, and the community at large. It has been a rough course, but she has shown a tenacious grace through it all. We are so appreciative of her commitment to our community and are delighted that she’s willing to serve for another term to help guide us out of the pandemic she led us through. We are proud to cast our votes for Anne Halsey for one of the At-Large SMCISD School Board positions, and we encourage all SMCISD parents and teachers to do the same.
