I read with awe the story a few weeks ago about the San Marcos couple that was accused of being at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

First of all, there were no “peaceful protesters,” believe me. They were all drawn there through social media with one intent, and one intent only. And that was to help Trump usurp the presidency of the United State of America.

After they were discovered by federal agent and handcuffed, they decided to tell their story to the Daily Record to proclaim their “innocence” and get some sympathy from the people of San Marcos.

As a former Marine who took an oath to defend our country, our constitution, and our Democracy, I wholeheartedly believe all these “peaceful protesters” should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, including Trump himself and all his Republican cronies.
