What Veteran Day means to me

Letter to the Editor
Sunday, November 11, 2018

Editor,

What Veterans Day means to me, well it means to me to honor our veterans. They have showed us bravery, courage, justice and loyalty.

Where would we be today without them? We’re very blessed to have these brave soldiers in our lives with us today … well some. Today is a very solemn day for our soldiers, for those who didn’t make it back home to their loved ones.

It’s very depressing seeing our soldiers very sad knowing their best friend couldn’t make it today, Nov. 11.

Some loved ones are here to remember their loved one(s) who couldn’t make it today. In honoring our veterans today, let’s show them that we can be just like them. Have bravery, courage, justice and loyalty. In addition, let’s be proud of them and show them how much we admire and care about them. Today we wear our colors red, white and blue to also show them thank you for serving our country.

I have today my grandfather Ancension Facuundo, who has showed me to not be afraid of anything, to have courage and bravery inside myself. Also to not back out of anything that shows bravery. I want our soldiers to feel wonderful about today because knowing they served our country which makes them very special to us.

Today is a very special and honoring day. We have showed our soldiers we admire than and were very proud of them.
