Reginald Eugene ‘Reggie’ Calvin Sr.

Reginald Eugene “Reggie” Calvin, Sr. Passed away at the age of 60 in San Marcos. Born in Austin Texas on June 30, 1957 to Willie and John Calvin Sr. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark Calvin. Survived by his brother John Calvin Jr, sisters Jacquline Harvey and Carna Gardner, his loving wife, Rita Hensley, sons Jermaine and Reginald Calvin Jr, daughter, Lashonda Matlock, step daughters Jessica Daniel and Heather Alaniz and step sons Joseph Neito and Dakota Hensley, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is additionally survived by his large extended family and friends.

Reggie was a kindhearted man, quick to lend a helping hand to those in need. Being an avid outdoorsman you’d likely find him at the San Marcos River. He loved to teach his grandchildren about the great outdoors. He will be truly missed by those who knew him best.

Visitation and viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, June 18 at the Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos.
