Wife returns to marriage after eight years apart

DEAR ABBY: I’ve been married for 34 years. During most of them, I was unfaithful. I never felt like I was truly married because my husband never gave me the time of day, but I liked my marital status because, I guess, we were companions. As soon as my kids married and the nest was empty, I left. I didn’t feel I needed to stay and be unhappy, so I moved out. Why I didn’t divorce him during those eight years is beyond me.

Approximately 28 local businesses are participating in the 2023 Back the Bobcats campaign, that includes Spirit Week, a decorating contest in the community and a huge Block Party set for Friday, Sept. 15. The event starts at 6 pm, and will feature live entertainment and music, food, drinks and special appearances, including by Texas State head football coach G.J. Kinne and players. The free event takes place on North Street between Hopkins and Hutchison and near Zelick's and North Street Curry Shop. Police offer new details on human smuggling, kidnap investigation

San Marcos Police Department officials are praising the teamwork among members of its own officers and staff and those of neighboring law enforcement agencies, following the official announcement of an investigation that resulted in the arrests of three people now charged in connection to charges of kidnapping and the smuggling of undocumented immigrants, as previously reported in the San Marcos Daily Record.

ECONOMIST: LNG Exports

The United States now exports more liquefied natural gas (LNG) than any other country. It’s a relatively new development, with Australia and Qatar usually topping the rankings in the past. The volume of US exports has surged over the past few years, with major new facilities coming online and strong global demand. While Australia and Qatar volumes have been fairly stable since 2018, US exports have basically quadrupled.
