Freshman State Rep. Carrie Isaac (R), District 73, has proposed a bill that would prohibit any and all polling locations on college campuses in the state. For Isaac, who represents Comal County and portions of Hays County, it’s a school safety issue, but opponents don’t agree.

Dog of the Week: Suzu (50134591) Suzu is an A+ companion. He’s currently living in a foster home while he completes his heartworm treatment and his foster family describes him as playful, friendly, and very affectionate. Suzu is a 4-yearold Boerboel mix who loves playing with kids, and is potty-trained and crate-trained. His favorite activities include eating lots of yummy treats and getting endless belly rubs. The San Marcos Arts Commission will host a public open house Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins, to showcase the designs of three finalists for a public sculpture project at Ramon Lucio Park. The public is invited and encouraged to give their feedback on the designs.
