Sights from Saturday's Veterans Day Parade

San Marcos and Hays County residents lined the streets of downtown Saturday morning to watch the Veterans Day Parade. The parade was led by two grand marshals — Retired Air Force Lt. Col. George Carruthers (pictured above middle) and Marine Corps Sgt. Donald Dorsey. Carruthers was called to active duty in 1942 and served in World War II. Dorsey served in combat during the Vietnam War. Saturday's parade featured floats from various service organizations, community groups, residents and the San Marcos High School Rattler Band. Daily Record photos by Lance Winter
