Dripping Springs Country Club to open Oct. 20

Golf enthusiasts will soon not have to worry about driving into Austin, especially if they are fans of the technology used at Top Golf. That’s because Caroline and Stephen Bradford, owners of the Dripping Springs Country Club are bringing that technology to Dripping Springs. The couple recently leased the driving range on Hwy. 290 on the west side of town to transform it into their vision.

“The property was bought by one of the Tombstone Pizza heirs in 2008,” Caroline said, about the history of the property. “From what we understand, it was unimproved raw land and he turned it into a driving range.” Now the Bradfords want to take it up a notch.

“We have had our eye on this place for years. Dripping does not have one place to practice or play golf in a public format within at least 25 minutes,” Caroline explained. “Dripping desperately needs a place for all ages to be able to have fun outdoors, play golf, all with a community vibe. In addition, we are looking forward to offering just a fun place to enjoy a football game and drink a cold beer.”

The Dripping Springs Country Club will feature ten Topracer bays which according to Caroline is Top Golf’s technology. “This technology includes fun games, contests, practice rounds, and actual course play,” Caroline explained. If someone is interested in practicing without the technology, that is available also. “The next ten bays are your typical driving range bays, where someone can just buy a bucket of balls and go practice on their own,” Caroline said. “We have the “Caddyshack” Clubhouse where everyone will check in and will be able to sit down and buy food, drinks, beer, and wine. We will have monthly contests and music throughout the facility. Other future amenities will include a putting green, batting cages, a members only swimming pool, live music events, plus a more diverse food menu.

The business is offering memberships, but Caroline said it’s not mandatory to be a member in order to use the facilities. “Our memberships are listed on our website and include daily range play, multiple discounts, plus the ability to make reservations and host private events, etc. We won’t be open for night golf at first, but we hope to figure out the large stadium lights and be open past dark as well,” Caroline said.

The Dripping Springs Country Club will open on October 20. Hours of operation will be 9 a.m. to dark, Tuesday through Sunday and closed on Mondays.
