Lady Rattlers suffer setback against Judson

San Marcos suffered a district setback with an 81-34 loss to Converse Judson on Friday. 

The Lady Rattlers (17-6, 2-2 26-6A) struggled to establish themselves against the Lady Rockets (22-4, 4-0). Judson took a 41-13 lead into halftime. 

San Marcos performed better in the second half, scoring 17 points. But the Lady Rattlers lost their second district game of the season. 

Junior forward Miranda Lamb paced San Marcos with 11 points. Sophomore forward Faith Phillips and junior forward Grace Latham scored six points each. 

Senior guard Corina Carter led Judson with a game-high 27 points, while senior forward Kyra White tallied 25 points. 

San Marcos returns to action at the Bastrop Varsity Tournament on Thursday. Tournament action spans through Saturday.
