Junior guard Toshua Leavitt was named the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season. The junior has been playing a significant role in the Bobcats’ first-place efficiency from the 3 in the Sun Belt.

Leavitt dropped 34 points on Coastal Carolina last week then produced back-to-back 20-plus point games against South Alabama and Troy to earn the award. She averaged 25.5 points per game and shot 56.5 percent from beyond the arc in the past two games.

More impressively, Leavitt was sneaking up on the school record 10 three pointers in a game. She was 7-for-7 heading into the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game against Troy but was unable to convert her final three attempts.
