Texas State opens tournament with win over Georgia State

PENSACOLA, Fla. – With five Bobcats in double- figures for scoring, No. 11 seed Texas State took down No. 14 seed Georgia State, 81-76, in the first round of the 2023 Hercules Tires Sun Belt Basketball Championship at the Pensacola Bay Center on Tuesday.

Rattlers enter season amid high expectations

After claiming a share of the Sun Belt Conference regular season championship, Texas State head coach Zenarae Antoine was named the 2022-23 Sun Belt Coach of the Year. Da’Nasia Hood and Kennedy Taylor were named All-Sun Belt as the conference office announced its end-of-season awards for women’s basketball Monday.

Rattlers are Area champs for first time in 20 years

AUSTIN - For the first time since 2002, the San Marcos Rattlers boy’s basketball is advancing to the regional quarterfinals. The Rattlers will now face San Antonio powerhouse Reagan Rattlers on Tuesday, Feb. 28.
