Sundance Record Lagoon will host the grand opening of its new location on Saturday at 12 p.m with a Second Line from Zelick’s Icehouse to the Sundance entrance at 241 N. LBJ Dr.

San Marcos lost an icon last August when Bobby Barnard, the legendary owner of Sundance Records, died unexpectedly. Since Barnard and his wife, Nancy, opened the store in September 1977, it had been a much-loved staple to generations of San Marcans.
Sundance Records will make a return to San Marcos as Sundance Record Lagoon in June 2021. Above, Sundance Records hosts pop-up shops at Zelicks from 5-9 p.m. on March 9, 11 and 13. The pop-up featured vintage records, posters, San Marcos memorabilia and live DJ sets. Photos courtesy of Zelicks
