LINING UP FOR SHOTS

San Marcans and Hays County residents continue to get vaccinated with nearly 38,000 people fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Texans 50 and older will be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine starting March 15

Texans age 50 and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine beginning March 15, state health officials announced Wednesday.

Hays County began administering COVID-19 vaccines during clinics at San Marcos High School and Live Oak Health Partners Community Clinic on Monday and Tuesday. The county recently received 1,950 Pfizer vaccines from the Texas Department of State Health Services and announced it will receive additional doses soon. COUNTY VACCINATION EFFORT BEGINS

Hays County began administering COVID-19 vaccines this week and plans to allow residents to sign up for future allotments beginning Friday.
