DRIFTWOOD)-Returning to its traditional date of Mother’s Day weekend, the fourteenth annual Rolling Oaks MusicFest Fundraiser will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 11-12, 2024. As in the past, this family- friendly event will offer free music and sell tickets for barbecue on Saturday May 11th, and a pancake brunch on Sunday May 12th. The festival showcases the intimate Rolling Oaks Club stage, natural park surroundings, and top-notch talent to raise funds for the maintenance and operation of the Rolling Oaks Club. The event takes place at the clubhouse, 1031 Lonesome Trail, Driftwood Texas, 78619, in the Rolling Oaks subdivision, seven miles east of Wimberley on FM 3237.
Texas State wrapped up their 2024 season at the NCAA Regionals in Bryan placing 10th as a team with the top five advancing to Nationals.
Multiple San Marcos Academy baseball and softball players were named to the All-District team following the completion of their 2024 seasons.
Three Rattler senior players were selected to play in their respective All-Star Games coming in both May and June.
The Texas State field crew pull the tarp over the infield during the lightening delay. Unfortunately, the high winds were able to pick up the tarp and fold it on itself allowing the heavy rain to soak the infield and postponing the game until the infield can be fixed. Amy Campbell, Texas Association of School Boards Human Resources Services director, gave a presentation on employee compensation and recommended possible changes at the special San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District board meeting Monday.
