County to host open house for new Cape's Pond Park project

As a part of the 2020 Parks & Open Spaces Bond Package, Hays County is developing a plan for the future design of Cape’s Pond Park. This is the first open house for the development of the Plan and an opportunity for the public to provide input on potential park amenities and programmatic park elements. The open house will be an in-person format for participants to come and go as they please. Materials shared at the open house will be available online and a survey will be available for participants to provide their feedback.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa San Marcos Foundation hosted the annual Stars of Texas Gala on May 2. Proceeds from the 2024 Gala will support CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos radiology department, supporting the purchase of a Trident™ Specimen Radiology System, integral 3D mammography equipment. The gala honored community philanthropists Bill and Linda Pennington (left) and featured entertainment by Straight Tequila Night, an original ‘90s country tribute band.

Hays County Health Department to host annual Summer Health Fair

The Hays County Health Department invites residents to the second annual Summer Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11 at its location on 101 Thermon Drive. The fair will feature free health services, including free vaccinations for eligible individuals under the Texas Vaccines for Children and Adult Safety Net programs, vision screenings, STI/HIV screenings and more.
