Hansen gifted a large rug to Centro' new Marcos and Fidela Garza Library/NASA/FAMA (Future Aerospace-Engineering & Mathematicians Academy’s Engineering) Multimedia Center. On display are also various pieces of Hansen’s artwork, which are on loan.

Hansen is a long-time supporter of Centro and friend of the late Ofelia Vasquez-Philo, cofounder of Centro, as well as current Executive Director Dr. Ricardo Espinoza.

She recently toured Centro's newly remodeled learning space and decided to help with Centro's endeavor.

“I wanted to help Centro have the children and all stakeholders experience something new and uplift their spirits when they return back to their classes at this new environment,” Hansen said.

Espinoza said Centro’s new learning environment will be ready once they are able to get back to normal operations.
