Looking for the cutest holiday card to send out to your loved ones this season? If so, then The Porch has the purrfect answer for you.
The Porch will present its third annual Santa Paws on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 1 - 4 p.m. Benefiting the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter, the Santa Paws fundraiser collects cash donations and items needed for the shelter.
“We love our pets at The Porch, and it’s our pleasure to support San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter with our 3rd Annual Santa Paws,” said Samantha Strahan, owner of The Porch and Taproom. “It’s a fun event to celebrate the holidays and the hard work that the shelter does for our community. However, the real champion of the event is our Santa Kenneth Fitzgerald, who is a long time Taproom and Porch regular, and volunteers his time to help us raise funds and collect product donations each year.”
That’s why the highlight of the event is holiday pet photos taken with Santa Fitzgerald. Attendees of Santa Paws are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends and take photos with Santa. A $5 cash donation is suggested.
This event is free and open to the public. For safety reasons, all pets must be on a leash.
Photos with Santa will be edited and posted to social media and taproomsanmarcos. com no later than Dec. 8, so you’ll have plenty of time to get those holiday cards in the mail.
The Porch is located at 129 E Hopkins St. #110 (square-facing side of The Taproom).
