Telling the Tale through Art

Texas State Studio Art students share work in senior exhibit
Sunday, November 28, 2021

“Tell The Tale” is an in-person art exhibition taking place at the Texas State University Galleries from Nov. 29 through Dec. 3. Opening reception for the exhibition will take place on Nov. 29 from 5 - 6 p.m. in the lobby of the J.C. Mitte building at Texas State University.

The exhibition features the works of 18 BFA Graduates from Texas State University’s Studio Art program. Works in this show include a variety of mediums: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics and expanded media.

This is the first in-person show many of these students have participated in since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Art school is tough, and these students have lived and worked through a time that has been uncertain for everyone,” Brian Delano said.

“Each artist has different motivations and inspirations for creating their work,” Delano said, “but every piece of art captures a moment and the emotions that surround it. These students are eager to share those moments.”
